For fresh truffles to be enjoyed at their best, once removed from the soil, you have less then 24h to cook, freeze or peel & slice (to dry) them before they start to perish. If carefully cleaned, vacuumed and frozen, they can be kept for over a year and still taste just as good!
Although some people prefer to eat truffles raw, it’s best to boil them for at least five to ten minutes. The rich aroma and flavor will bedazzle your palate.
It’s uncommon. Kalahari Truffles are 100% organic with no added chemicals or artificial flavors.
Absolutely, because of the exquisite taste of the Kalahari truffle interior, the exterior (skin) is quite bitter (probably to put off sand bugs from eating the truffle when still in the ground).
